FIRST HAWAIIAN BANK NAMES GEORGE WEIR
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF TRUST DIVISION

(Honolulu, Hawaii, December 10, 2007) - George Weir has joined First Hawaiian Bank as senior vice president and manager, Trust Division, according to an announcement today by President and Chief Executive Officer Don Horner.

Weir has extensive trust and Investment experience and previously held positions with Hawaiian Trust Company, New Mexico Bank & Trust and Harris Trust in Chicago. He has a bachelor's degree from Arizona State University and a law degree from the University of San Diego. He is a member of both the Hawaii and California Bar Associations and is former director of the Hawaii Bar Foundation.

First Hawaiian Bank (fhb.com) with assets of $12.5 billion was founded in 1858 and is Hawaii's oldest and largest bank. It has 58 branches in Hawaii, three on Guam and two on Saipan.
